"Drugs are very harmful", Mubende aspiring Mp Sureman Ssegawa cautions the youth.

Mubende municipality aspiring member of parliament Ismael Ssegawa, populary known as Sureman Ssegawa gave a stern admonition to the youths yesterday about drug abuse.

While attending the burial of a one Kurabiraawo Gita in Namabale village, mubende municipality, the National Unity Platform diehard advised the youths of Mubende and Uganda in general to avoid the use of drugs if they're to succeed and live longer. The warning followed allegations of the late Gita having succumbed to drug abuse.

In his speech, the multi-talented sports journalist highlighted the dangers of drug abuse, emphasizing on smokeless tobacco which is locally known as 'mijaj'."...these drugs are very harmful. They affect the brain, tarnish one's reputation and have other health effects. please avoid them",  Sureman warned.
The aspiring Mp also thanked the late Gita for being a people's person, evident from the number of mourners that attended his burial.

Known for his kind heart, he promised to pay half of the school fees for Gita's oldest orphan as he also donated five dozens of books to support the education of all the other orphans. He as well led a campaign to contribute money to support the family which saw mourners raise 200,000 shillings.

On his way to and from the burial, Ssegawa was escorted by a convoy of boda boda riders who made their way through the streets of mubende town chanting his name as the mp waved at his fans.

Earlier before, the Radio Simba presenter had attended the finals of mubende district secondary schools competition where he was given a cordial reception.

In his speech as one of the invited guests, the sports addict encouraged ballers to maintain discipline during the game as a key factor. He also outlined some of the sportsmen whose carriers faded due to indiscipline.

Sureman Ssegawa later had a media tour where he visited different radio station spreading the gospel of change to the people of mubende municipality.
He is undoubtedly the leading aspirant with his colleagues having sleepless nights.
