The Zzina Awards are organized annually by the management of Galaxy media (Galaxy fm and Galaxy Tv), aimed at celebrating and appreciating the best performers in the entertainment and art industry.
As it's of the norm every year, the Zzina Awards 2025 ceremony was well organized and held on Feb 13th, 2025.
Before the much anticipated ceremony, the awards committee nominates different performers of the previous year under different categories and presents the nomination list to the public before officially opening an online voting process.
In the 12th edition of the Zzina awards, different artists were nominated and voted for, but female musician Ava Peace topped the winners list with four prestigious accolades to her name.
Born Namugonza Maureen Peace on January 13, 2000 at Mengo hospital, the 'London' hit maker was at the top of her game throughout 2024, with great hits and top collaborations that every music lover enjoys.
The Team No Sleep(TNS) queen won four awards and stood out to be the most successful musician for the year 2024. Below is a list;
1. Collaboration of the year - Tabbu ft Dax Vibes.
Produced by Nessim, Tabbu is undoubtedly the collaboration of the year. With nearly 3 million views on YouTube, the love song is expected to remain a hit for years to come.

Since joining Jeff Kiwa's TNS, Ava Peace has given nonstop hit songs with great collaborations with other top artists.
Her latest single #London is another hit that leaves everyone dancing.

The awards however sparked off mixe reactions from both the stakeholders and music lovers who critised the awards committee and questioned about the criteria followed when choosing who to award.
"f**k all the Ugandan musical awards.my music will speak for itself we will wait for the Grammys"... furious Gloria Bugie posted after missing out on the Zzina Awards list.
Some were also surprised to see the winners different from those they voted for.
Another concern was on how Vipers Sc player Allan Okello won the Sports personality of the year award past Denis Omedi who outshined everyone in 2024 both on club and national team with his rabona style strike that even earned him nominations both on the continent and world level.
